Quixotix Art

Clara specializes in studying the human figure and the endless expression of color and light. It’s not often that Clara goes a day without creating, whether that means painting, drawing in her sketchbook or working on one of her many in progress projects. When Clara isn’t busy baking fresh bread or reading fantasy books, she fills her time listening to music, and hiking in the southern Indiana hills with her husband and their senior pup. During the warmer months, you can find her lounging by the pool or tending to the garden on their homestead between projects; In the colder season she’ll be crocheting on the couch or indulging in Nintendo games and cozy home cooking.

Growing up in a household that also served as a the home to her mother’s fashion label in the early 2000’s, art and creative expression have been ever present in Clara’s life. Art has also given itself to be an outlet to express the experience of living in one’s own body. Clara has embraced this mindset in her vibrant pieces that display the feminine experience through her eyes. Using bright and bold colors, movement filled lines and sometimes geometric laying techniques, Clara’s art is not just seen, it demands to be felt.

A selection of Clara’s art works are on display at the Bloomington Fine Arts Supply in Bloomington, IN., until October of 2025, including the original “Darling” oil painting and a handful of handmade prints.
